Bracken alleges that two doctors and a physiotherapist failed to diagnose properly a knee injury he sustained playing against England in 2007 and refer him for surgery. He alleges their oversight and failure to deal with his injury in the correct manner “ruined” his career and he is suing for lost earnings as a result.
Cricket Australia has confirmed that legal action was underway but has not commented further.
The former test seamer played for his country, New South Wales and for Gloucestershire before retiring last month at the age of 34.
