Nine foot Sir Alex Ferguson statue unveiled at Old Trafford

The ceremony included many former United players such as Eric Cantona, Ruud van Nistelrooy and in attendance, with David Beckham and Christiano Ronaldo addressing their former manager via pre-recorded video messages.

Ferguson’s stature was then unveiled by his wife Cathy.

Celebrity fan Eammon Holmes spoke at the ceremony, telling the throng of current and former players and United fans, that during Fergie’s 26 years at the helm Liverpool have seen ten managers, Man City nineteen and twelve England managers.
