Festivalgoer Gary Leeson, 55, complained that he was stripped during a search for drugs – and passers by were able to witness the search through a barely concealing tarpaulin.
“[They could see] my bare butt. I was not comfortable with that at all,” Leeson told news.com.au.
Leeson said he felt “bullied” and “humiliated” by the police and was embarrassed and humiliated by the officers, who had approached him with a sniffer dog.
The incident hits the headlines as a video emerged showing a police officer pinning another man to the ground with his foot, sparking accusations of police brutality at Sydney’s annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender culture.
