The 61-year-old widely touted as the UK’s female answer to Meatloaf, without all those annoying far-right opinions, will sing a new power ballad, imaginatively titled, Love Will Set You Free.
“I am truly honoured and delighted to be able to represent my country at Eurovision and especially with such a fabulous song,” said Bonnie.
“I promise to give this everything that I’ve got for the UK,” she added.
Tyler’s latest album Rocks and Honey is released in the UK tomorrow.
Tyler, born Gaynor Hopkins, shot to fame in the Eighties with her striking vocals and unashamedly romantic, power ballads, including the hits Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding out for a Hero.
