Georgie who has been anointed “QT Forager”, has been taken on to bring seasonal and specialised produce to the hip 20 somethings who the hotelier says like to eat good healthy foods in the place to be seen.

Not a newcomer on the Aussie scene, QT has been declaring itself the playground for cool kids to come and play since 2011. The young and trendy crowd that QT attracts come, it says, for the chic decor, bars to be seen at and restaurants “you have to eat in”.

Neal is reckoned to be passionate about the importance of supporting local growers. “I’m thrilled to be able to develop a long lasting and mutually beneficial network with growers nationwide who are as passionate about food freshness and great produce as we are,” he said.

He is establishing a close working relationship with farmers and growers throughout Australia to source fresh and seasonal produce for QT’s award winning restaurants including Gowings Bar and Grill, Capitol Bar and Grill and the QT Resorts interactive Bazaar located on the Gold Coast, Port Douglas, Sydney, Canberra and Falls Creek.

“With suppliers and supermarkets embroiled in ever-increasing price wars, this new arrangement means that the growers are receiving a better price for their produce,” he believes. “This will be showcased through the high standard of dishes created at QT Hotels by creative food director, Robert Marchetti and the Bazaar teams in the QT Resorts,” continued Georgie.
