Getting there

Queenstown Airport, located in Frankton on the edge of Queenstown, has international services to and from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, as well as domestic connections. The Connectabus shuttle to and from Queenstown centre operates from 6am to 11pm and leaves every 20 minutes from outside the main terminal building. A Connextions bus service also operates four daily return services to Wanaka, 120km north, from the airport. A number of coach services also make daily trips to and from Queenstown to a number of South Island destinations. Hire car facilities are available at the airport and a number of locations in Queenstown’s centre.

Getting Around

Queenstown’s centre is relatively compact and can easily be covered on foot. However, most of the area’s key attractions are dotted around the region and can be difficult to access without your own transport. Tours leaving from Queenstown centre can take you to the top-spots, otherwise it’s recommended to hire a car to cover the sights activities.
