Well, in China, you can rent one, as the practice is gaining popularity with single men advertising for a lady on social media websites.
The number of ads dramatically increases around holiday times, as this is when most men want a rent-a-girlfriend to take home to their parents to ease constant nagging about them still being single.
However, if you’re a guy, a girlfriend doesn’t come cheap – one man on the rental sites is offering the equivalent of £100,000 to have a lady on his arm for the weekend.
The particular man in question included a photo of himself surrounded by piles of cash to prove his point, and said in his preferences that he would like the woman to have a bachelors degree (minimum), be sweet and in an ideal world, be a virgin. Ladies, form an orderly queue please.
