Chipotle Mexican Grill, which has seven restaurants across London, has announced that it will reward those who complete the 2016 Marathon in London with a free burrito on presentation of their finisher’s medal.

“We are committed to changing the way people think about and eat fast food, and we like to recognise our customers who go the extra mile [so] we are so happy to treat those who complete the 2016 Marathon in London to a burrito on us.” says Jacob Sumner, UK managing director for Chipotle.

Chipotle, which is on a mission to establish  a new kind of thinking about fast food, has been recognised by Compassion in World Farming at the annual Good Animal Welfare Awards and has received a Good Chicken Award and a Good Pig Award. Chipotle was praised for its approach to the sourcing of its raw ingredients but in particular for its commitment to using free-range pigs for its pork carnitas and RSPCA Freedom Food certified poultry for its chicken dishes.
