The world has seen a sneak preview of the upcoming The Adventures Of Tintin movie.

The film, directed by Steven Spielberg with input from New Zealand director Peter Jackson and set for a December 26 release, is the first in a trilogy of 3D motion capture films based on the internationally loved comic books by  Herge.

The Adventures of Tintin
stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter, and Daniel Craig as the nefarious Red Rackham.

The international cast also includes Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook.

The second feature in the series is scheduled to be directed by Jackson.

Speilberg announced: “We are going to make three Tintin movies back-to-back. I’ll direct the first one, Peter will direct the second one. We’ll probably co-direct the third one,”

More than 200 million copies of the Tintin book series have been sold worldwide.
