A teenager suspected of shooting five-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran
in Stockwell, London, has been stabbed and is in “serious but stable”
condition in hospital.

The 17-year-old was stabbed on Saturday, a day before his arrest for
the attempted murder of Thusha and 35-year-old Roshan Selvakumar.

The two victims were shot when guns were fired into Stockwell Food and Wine shop, on Stockwell Road.

According
to police, the intended targets were two youths who ran into the shop
after being chased by three other teenagers on bicycles.

The shootings are thought to be gang related.

Four
teenagers have now been arrested in relation to the incident. Anthony
McCalla, 19, of Streatham, south London, has appeared in court charged
with attempted to murder. An 18-year-old and a 14-year-old have also
been arrested.

It emerged today that the fourth suspect, a
17-year-old was admitted to hospital with stab wounds on Saturday.
Detectives said they are keeping an “open mind” over the motive for the
attack in south London.

Thusa – thought to be London’s youngest shooting victim – is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
