More than 4,000 people attended the TNT Sun & Snow travel Show this weekend, packing out the QEII Centre in Westminster to pick up travel bargains and be inspired by a line-up of speakers.
Gabriel Finn and Joe Wynne from Paddywagon Tours started the day’s craic by taking visitors on a verbal journey round the Emerald Isle’s less-beaten paths. Aspiring travel writers listened to tips from freelance journalist and guidebook author Anna Maria Espsater; Lonely Planet’s Laura Lindsay chatted budget destinations; Gadling’s Grant Martin discussed travel blogging while Pat Riddell and Maria Pieri from National Geographic Traveller Magazine revealed 2012’s up-and-coming destinations.

In the afternoon, Charlie O’Connell and Steve McPhilemy from Day Tours World discussed their website which “brings together with some of the brightest nerdiest tekkies in cyberspace”. Andy Henderson of On The Go Tours told attendees that now is the best time to travel to Egypt; Ralph Foulds of Encounters Travel revealed how to see India in two weeks and Sean Newsom discussed his mouth-watering job as a ski and snowboard travel writer.
