The FNB Whisky Live Festival includes tasting workshops and tutorials from many of the big names in whisky production.
It also includes an awful lot of drinking.
Why: You’ll be able to sample more than 180 different whiskies in the festival’s Tasting Hall.
Try a sip of spirits from around the world, including those as diverse as Welsh Penderyn’s Madeira Finish, as well as the locally distilled South African single malt, Draymans Highveld.
Do it because: This is the perfect excuse to sink an enormous amount of whisky, either on your way to becoming a connoisseur, or just for fun.
But whatever you do, just don’t say: “Can I have a splash of cola?”
