The pop princess presented the top honour at the TV Week Logie Awards, a gong she won 26 years ago when she was a young star on Neighbours and taking the music world by storm. 

“Well, this is really unbelievable,” said Cam. “I just kissed Kylie Minogue. That’s pretty cool.” 

Cam’s award was, as always, the biggest prize of the night which combines fan-voted and industry-decided (“outstanding”) awards. 

ABC’s Redfern Now won most outstanding drama series while Lachy Hulme won outstanding actor for his work as Sir Frank Packer in Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch Story. , won outstanding actor.

Last year’s gold winner Asher Keddie won outstanding actress for Offspring. 

Chris Lilley won the most popular actor statue for Ja’mie: Private School Girl – he’s in the UK promoting his new series and the second spin-off from Summer Heights High, Jonah from Tonga. , so his award was accepted by Albery Mambo, who plays Kwami Onwuatuegwu in the series.

Most popular new talent went to Home and Away’s Bonnie Sveen while the customary overseas performers included Jason Derulo and Ed Sheeran, along with Minogue of course.
