The collision happened at around 4.30pm AEST when two Qantas planes were being towed out of a hangar.

Thankfully, no passengers were on board and nobody was hurt, although both aircraft were damaged.

However, the accident affected scheduled journeys, as Qantas flights to Melbourne and Brisbane were both cancelled.

According to news.com.au, Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association federal secretary Steve Purvinas said on Twitter that repairs wouldn’t come cheap – and costs could run into the millions.
