“Thank you to everyone for helping out, people in my predicament need helping out,” he says, while strumming a guitar in Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center , a long-term care facility which he now lives. He then goes on to thank the public for their support, too.
Poppo was the victim of a horrendous attack a year ago this coming Sunday, in which Rudy Eugene assaulted him, chewing on his face for a horrific 18 minutes. The whole attack was caught on surveillance camera.
Poppo has been left several disfigured by the attack and permanently blinded, but has declined any further reconstructive surgery.
