G-Form, a company that specialise in protective shock-absorbing equipment, protected the Apple tablet with their latest casing and sent it high above the earth for a journey into the unknown.
The case, called Extreme Edge, which the company had previously demonstrated being thrown out of a moving car, sent flying on a giant catapult and used in a game of frisby, was strapped to a weather balloon floating 100,000 feet above the earth’s surface. A video camera was attached to show the space journey, which you can see below.
Any clumsy astronauts will be happy to hear that the tablet survived its journey back to earth.
G-Form say they “don’t encourage or recommend intentionally dangerous stunts” at home using their products, as they won’t accept responsibility for damage to any of Apple’s notoriously delicate hardware.
