Live television is tough, anything that goes wrong can’t be undone and has gone out for everyone to see before you’ve realised what’s happened.

If you’re doing a report out in the street somewhere you could expect the public might make a nuisance of themselves behind you.

But when you’re in the studio you expect things to be a little more straight forward, but that wasn’t what happened for this newsreader at Medi1TV who was in the middle of a broadcast when her daughter, who was only trying to be helpful, walked up behind her and passed her a phone.
