Filmmaker Shane Meadows directs this look behind the scenes and lifts the lid on the band’s birth, dissolution and subsequent resurrection.
As Meadows himself says: “It’s not everyday that you get to make a documentary about your all time favourite band who are getting back together after 20 years.”
Filmed at their three sell-out shows last summer at Manchester’s Heaton Park as they took the reunion out on the road around the world, the documentary is loaded with archive footage too and is a must for Stones fans, music fans and movie fans.
The Stone Roses: Made of Stone is released on June 5 through Picturehouse Entertainment.
