Gay Sports Day

Let the Handbag Toss, the 50m mince and the Space Hopper relay commence.

Sandwiched between the Olympics and Paralympics, Gay Sports Day promises “those with pitifully little training the chance to walk off with a champion’s cup”.

Don fancy dress and join in or go along and lend your support from the sidelines.

Money raised goes to GMFA (the gay men’s health charity) and Vauxhall community projects.

Mauritian Open Air Festival

Europe’s biggest celebration of Mauritian culture will attempt to capture the atmosphere of a Mauritian party, albeit without the palm trees.

Mauritian musical stars will perform and there will be traditional food and cocktails galore. There will also be a huge funfair, if you feel like being a kid.

Last year, more than 10,000 people attended and organisers are expecting this year to be even busier.
