Catarina Migliorini, 20, was the prize in a month-long auction won by a guy going by the name of Natsu and will appear in the film Virgins Wanted, by filmmaker Justin Sisely.
Reports say Migliorini will give $722,000 of her money to a housing project for the poor in her state of Santa Catarina.
“The auction is just business, I’m a romantic girl at heart and believe in love. But this will make a big difference to my area,” she has said.
Migliorini defended her decision saying “If you only do it once in your life then you are not a prostitute, just like if you take one amazing photograph it does not automatically make you a photographer.”
Sisely isn’t convinced she’ll follow through on the promise.
“I was surprised she said that because in all my dealings with her, she made it clear that it was a business decision for her,” he told NY Daily News.
“Now, given how big this story is in Brazil, she’s trapped. If she doesn’t give any money to charity, she’s going to look bad.”
Australian student Alex Stepanov, 21, also autioned his male chastity off – he sold to a Brazilian woman for $3000.
Sisely told AAP his documentary was focusing on how much the two change, if at all, following their first times and with the money, adding Stepanov was disappointed to not get anywhere near Migliorini’s price tag.
“It’s interesting from a sociological point of view to compare what virginity is worth for a girl and what it’s worth for a guy,” he said.
