On Thursday 30 April, Trapeze Bar will launch its first Circus Extravaganza, Cirque Noir.  Set in the ground level of the venue, which is appropriately themed, with trapeze bars and hoops hanging from the ceiling, a back wall fire breather image and carnival style booths, it is a great backdrop for the evening’s festivities.

This will be a monthly event that merges the Art of Circus with the Shoreditch vibe, to bring you a stylised unique show to remember.  With Cabaret style performances, the nights will include Burlesque dancers, fire artists, plus other variety acts and a little bit of tongue in cheek.  There will be acro-balance performances, which is where people perform acrobatic moves as duo’s or teams.  And a little bit of contortion.  As for the sideshows that will be on, performers will show a few card tricks (with a difference) and the art of hot wax.  Not your typical show, it will cover the weird and wonderful, bringing you into a little fantasy world for a couple of hours.

But there is more to the night than just the show.  You can book tickets to the show or grab something to eat as well.  While you are there I would suggest trying the cocktails, which are circus themed, of course.  There is a ‘Life is a Circus’ bubbly cocktail or maybe even the ‘back stage’, all made by expert mixologists.

If you are looking for something a little bit different or want a special night out, the show promises to be a great night’s entertainment.
