Workers spent 5 million hours playing the Pac-man game that appeared on Google, it has been revealed.
A web version of the cult video game was put on the site’s home page on May 21st to celebrate 30 years since its launch in Japan.
Research was carried out by (paranoia-inducing) firm Rescue Time, who make tracking software that records when staff go online and what they’re looking at.
The study claimed Pac-man playing workers could have cost bosses around £83million in lost productivity.
Meanwhile, a study by Drinkaware has revealed that more than 500,000 of us turn up for work hungover every day.
