Unlike the ones you might find outside your local Sainsbury’s, this supped-up shopper has a go kart tyres attached for stability and a small matter of a large motor usually found on a Chinook helicopter strapped on too for a little extra oomph.
Although the top speed reached was 44mph and the existing record was a mere one mph less, McKeown is yet to be crowned as the official record holder until Guinness has been contacted and his speed confirmed.
