The American movie star was speaking to UK newspaper The Guardian about his battle with throat cancer, claiming that it wasn’t heavy smoking or drinking which was the cause but actually a STI he picked up through oral sex.
“Without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV, which actually comes about from cunnilingus,” said the 68-year-old.
All the same, Mike, it might be a good idea to lay off the Cubans and casket aged scotch.
Douglas fought a six month battle with the illness from August 2010 through to January 2011 and has been in remission since.
Rather cryptically Douglas not only blamed his illness on his penchant for dropping below the equator but also claimed that: ‘if you have it [cancer, presumably], cunnilingus is also the best cure for it.”
Talk about swallowing the pill that makes you ill, or words to that effect.
While this may well be good news for all alcoholics and addicted smokers out there, it is bad news for anyone who is a ‘fan’ of Catherin Zeta-Jones, Douglas’ wife.
The Oscar winning actor is set to star as the larger than life Liberace in Behind the Candelabra, a biopic about the notorious entertainer.
