Natural History Museum Ice Rink Cafe Bar
The scene: If you’re having trouble feeling the Christmas vibe then head to this magical ice rink to skate under trees lit with twinkling lights. To help further with your general merriness, hit the cafe/bar first. Housed in a temporary structure, it still manages to be cosy, has plenty of Chrimbo cheer and is ideal for watching people fall over on the ice below you.
Behind the bar: There’s coffee, tea and hot chocolate but head straight for the very tasty mulled wine and you’ll be ready to show them how skating should be done.
The grub: Nice sandwiches, salads and mince pies. Soup’s the only hot food on offer.
Bill please: A plate of anti-pasti for two is £9.95, mulled wine is £4.25, tea £1.90.
Verdict: You’re here for the skating but the cafe is a nice place to warm up.
