Imagine winning $35.9 million on the lotto.
Well one lucky Queensland woman has after coming forward to scoop her half of the monster $70m jackpot from Thursday’s Powerball.
Amazingly she didn’t realise she’d won until this afternoon.
She bought the ticket from the Lucky Charm news agency at Noosaville – yep, real name – and was so overwhelmed she could hardly speak after Golden Casket had validated her 12-game QuickPick as a winner.
“I’m feeling a little sick at the moment! I’m just waiting to wake up from this dream!” she told Golden Casket.
“I honestly never thought I’d win in last night’s $70 million Powerball draw. I think the most I’ve ever won in lotto is about $20 so this is unbelievable.”
