Rebecca Black “cried” when her single, Friday, became a viral hit on Youtube (for all the wrong reasons), claiming that the nasty comments spawned by the song amounted to bullying. She’s now planning an acoustic version of the track to prove to the world that she can sing.
Heavily auto-tuned song Friday was viewed more than 15 million times online and led to Rebecca Black being labelled the worst singer in the world. However the 13-year-old has hit back, saying she is talented and the haters should leave her alone.
Rebecca Black’s Friday slammed as “worst song”
Black spoke to Good Morning America, revealing how upset she was when Friday became viral laughing stock of the week. Comments about the song included some which suggested that Rebecca Black should die.

Rebecca said: “[The worst thing I’ve read was] I hope you cut yourself and I hope you get an eating disorder so you’ll look pretty, and I hope you go cut and die.
“When I first saw all these nasty comments I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn’t have done this and this is all because of me. Now I don’t feel that way.
Friday lent itself for piss-taking, with masterful lyrics such as: “We so excited/We gonna have a ball today/Tomorrow is Saturday/And Sunday comes afterwards.”
However, as Black points out, love it or hate it, the video has still racked up 14 million views since last Friday.
“I think that’s an accomplishment,” Rebecca said.
“Even a person that doesn’t like it, it’s going to be stuck in their head. That’s the point of it, it’s a catchy song.”

In an attempt to prove that she can sing, Rebecca Black sang the US national anthem on Good Morning America.
She then declared: “I think I have talent on some level. I don’t think I am the worst singer but I don’t think I’m the best [either].”
Rebecca also confessed to a dream of singing a duet with Justin Bieber.
“I have Bieber fever. I am in love with Justin Bieber,” she said. “Just thinking about it gives me butterflies.”
And if you thought you’d heard the last of Friday, think again. Black is now planning on recording an acoustic version of the song, hoping to convince the world that she can sing.
Black’s mother apparently paid $2,000 to LA based Ark Music Factory to get the first version and video for Friday made..
