In a middle-finger salute to the president, members of the group wearing their familiar colourful balaclava face masks are seen abseiling down a building and setting off flares.
The video, which was released via the NME website, thanks the band’s supporters. Three members of the band were recently sentenced to two years in prison for their ‘Punk Prayer’ protest in Moscow’s Church Of Christ The Saviour.
“Our country is dominated by evil men. These men think it’s illegal to call yourself a feminist, to sing punk music. These men think it’s illegal to stand up for the rights of the gay and lesbian community. These men think that you can’t criticise your government,” the group members say in the video.
“These men think that if you sing and dance in an inappropriate way, you get two years in prison.”
Two members of the group recently claimed to have escaped from Russia and are “recruiting foreign feminists to prepare new protest actions”, according to The Guardian.
