London’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration kicked off on Sunday, bathing the capital city in a sea of green and a thin coating of Guinness.
This year, London got a double shot of Irish pride, with over 100,000 leprechaun-wannabes attending the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival.
The parade began at Green Park at midday and featured Irish themed floats, bands, and other performers. The procession snaked its way past Trafalgar Square, where the St. Patrick’s Festival was underway.
Rockin’ from noon to sundown, this year’s festival featured a host of traditional and contemporary music and dance, all well received by the beer-fuelled crowd.
Be sure to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day proper this Thursday, because everyone’s Irish on March 17.
