It was a huge success and so has returned for 2014.
There are two types of swim this time around – untimed 300 or 900 metre swim in flat water. Flippers and flotation devices are permitted.
But you can’t just turn up and perv on the nudies, no. Spectators and supporters are not allowed on the beach (those taking part however can look as much as they like!).
Organisers hope the swim will help gather more support for conservation – it was founded by Earth Hour co-founder Nigel Marsh.
It costs $35 ($40 on the day) and upon coming out of the water as naked as the day you were born, a sarong will be on hand to ensure any private bits are covered.
Where: Cobblers Beach, Sydney, NSW
When: Feb 23 (8am-3pm)
Cost: $35 ($40 on the day). Supporters all are welcome into the Festival area for free, which will have various different stalls, food and activities for Sydney Skinny supporters to enjoy.
