We hunt out the very best roast dinners in London

We love a traditional Sunday roast here in the UK. It represents family, friends and loved ones – like no other British meal, although fish and chips is a serious contender. It’s the nation’s number one meal and if you want to fit in with UK culture, you’d better learn to love it too.

For the cook it can be quite a challenge, it comes without instructions, it’s something you learn from generations before you. If you want to avoid slip ups like putting cranberry sauce with beef or serving beef without horseradish and Yorkshire pudding, then our advice is to go out and eat rather than slave away in the kitchen for hours and get it all wrong.

Here’s a list of our Sunday roast favourites:

All day weekend brunching never looked so good with takes on the American classics such as steak ‘n’ eggs with hanger steak, fried duck egg, hash browns, hanger relish and the brunch bap with venison sausage, fried egg, sticky onions on a potato bap or if you are looking for more of an English twist, the Florence eggs with toasted crumpets, poached eggs, spinach, avocado, hollandaise and either charred bacon or hanger steak to top it off.

In addition to the weekend brunch, hanger sw6 is also serving up an awesome Sunday roast complete with carved hanger steak, beef dripping roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, charred and ember roasted market vegetables, bone marrow gravy and horseradish cream.

For those looking to truly kick off the weekend (or continue it) the downstairs liquor bar have mixed up some refreshing and reviving cocktails such as the hanger-over, hanger’s very own take on the Bloody Mary and the Crack Baby – a vodka based cocktail made with orange, passion fruit and Prosecco.
