The event was a free street food festival like no other. Customers were taken on a journey of discovery with some of Europe’s hottest street food vendors providing the first travel by taste experience. Sri Lankan ‘Kothu Kothu’ reined victorious with its three different types of Kothu Roti, up against fierce competition, including ‘Vinn Goute’ with octopus curry from the Seychelles infused with cinnamon bark and coconut milk, and ‘Orange Buffalo’ with its American chicken wings with a special buffalo sauce and a celery and blue cheese dip. Representing popular European destinations, there was ‘La Tua Pasta’ for Italy serving three types of tortellini, the French ‘Copper and Wheat’ serving croque-monsieur and duck fat French fries and the Spanish ‘Lab’ with its chicken and chorizo paella and chorizo burger.
To celebrate the event and the importance of taste to travel, TravelSupermarket are asking people to write their own street food review, with the best write up winning a free holiday for two people to one of the street food destinations. For the chance to be whisked away, submit your street food reviews on the website at www.travelsupermarket.com/c/holidays/street-food/
