Hierro – Gabe Ibanez’s average horror film follows a mother trying to get to the bottom of her son’s disappearance on a ferry to the island of El Hierro. An interesting build-up and atmospheric visuals are largely wasted by an overbearing score and elaborate plot that’s not nearly as scary as it should be.
3/5
GOOD FOR: Those who scare easily.
