After declaring “the war has just begun”, Kelly’s attempt to embarrass Stefanovic just gave him a chance to big up his skating abilities.
“He looks a lot like you, Karl Stefanovic,” Kelly said as the clip of Karl ran.”Look at that shirt!”
But Karl, who notoriously appeared on air ‘under the weather’ after the Logies and then went on to win the Gold Logie, wasn’t bothered.
“Oh, look at him go,” he said. “I’d like to see you ice skate, Roz Kelly – it’s not easy to do.
“Look at him dance! Look how flamboyant he is! It’s like watching Peter Allen on skates!”
“You’ve tried to stitch me up but it hasn’t quite worked.”
On Twitter yesterday Kelly called for suggestion on how she can get her colleague back – looks like she needs the help.
